Bill O'Leary, son of the famous Royal Flying Doctor Pioneer Dr Tim O'Leary, has written a screenplay based on the amazing story of his father's adventures.
Dr O'Leary left an autobiography in two books with other papers so these amazing historical adventures with native Australians will not be lost.
He worked alongside Mother Theresa in India prior to taking post as Ship's Surgeon bound for Australia in 1951. Landing penniless in Sydney, he 'picked' the Flying Doctor Job out of a cup. Over the next 27 years he was an outback legend -- surviving fatal plane crashes, being attacked by spear-throwing aboriginals, swimming through flooded crock- infested rivers to save the lives of isolated Australians.
